Who I Am
I am a lifelong learner at heart. My curiosity is nearly insatiable. In museums, you can find me devouring every plaque and artifact, and I am often sharing my highlights from the latest documentary or nonfiction book with friends and family.
Learning and helping others learn led me to an almost 17-year career as a teacher, where I mastered gaining and maintaining my students’ engagement, using data to drive my instruction, and managing positive partnerships with families, colleagues and administration.

I love to be a part of the action. I have been told that as a small child, I got upset at the prospect of missing out on anything. My desire for new and exciting experiences inspired me to live abroad three times, become fluent in French, and try all sorts of outdoor adventures.
Just as I thrive on the quality of my experiences, I have a passion for creating great experiences for others. From planning a trip, organizing friends’ baby showers, or creating a school-wide scavenger hunt for my 2nd graders’ geography unit, I want to make sure everyone is included, accommodated, and entertained!

How I Work
When heading into a new challenge, I am ready to absorb new information, technology, and processes. I do my research and ask the right questions until I have deep understanding of the content and the tools I need to develop it. My enthusiasm as a learner translates to putting the learner at the center of the design process. Involving and listening to the learners boosts engagement and impactful design.
I thrive on feedback and collaboration. I approach projects with the conviction that the work is always stronger when the best ideas of all stakeholders are valued and leveraged. When facing a complex challenge, I come to the table with a positive, solution-oriented mindset, along with a commitment to maintaining the team’s shared mission and guiding principles.
Best practice is the foundation. Both my teaching experience and adult learning theories lay the groundwork on which I can use my creative and interactive approach to design. I use the power of authentic, immersive learning experiences to maximize motivation, engagement and relevance in the learners.
